Pongal is a mega harvest festival of Tamilnadu. A festival celebrated extensively in all of South India to thank the sun God. Primarily it starts with a thorough clean up to pave the way for a fresh new beginning. Houses and offices are cleaned up to discard the old and welcome freshness, prosperity and blessings. Even cattle are honoured to thank them for their hard work during the cultivation process.
